Aiyana Washington (she/her)

Production Chair

Aiyana is a junior studying Earth Systems, theater, and science communication. She’s thrilled to be part of a space by and for Black creatives in an artform that can easily stifle diverse voices. When she’s not in a theater, you might spy her admiring flowers at Jasper Ridge or playing Sudoku on the Lathrop terrace.

Eryn Perkins (they/she)

Marketing Officer

Eryn is a sophomore studying Theater and Performance Arts Studies & English. They are passionate about storytelling and proud to be a part of this organization that fosters the growth and creativity of diverse artists. Outside of theater, she can be found watching horror movies or napping on Meyer Green.

Jayla Taylor (she/her)

Communications Officer 

Jayla is a sophomore studying Human Biology & African and African American Studies. She is eager to help foster and be a part of a space that highlights the voices, creativity, and beauty of diverse creatives. Outside of theater, you can find her reading a book or crocheting.

Lee'Shae Lawson (she/her)

Education Chair

Lee'Shae is a senior studying African and African American Studies. She is so excited to be the Education Chair of BLACKstage and to create more accessible and transparent theater experiences on campus. She is especially excited to welcome newcomers to theater and create community amongst Black creatives! Outside of BLACKstage, she is an RA for Ujamaa House and is an artist within multiple mediums, including music, writing, and visual art. 

Nyah Ware (she/her)

Community Chair

Nyah is a sophomore who is interested in studying Bioengineering along with completing the Notation in Cultural Rhetoric program. She has a passion for theater, communication, and storytelling and is super excited to explore these passions through the platform and community that Blackstage presents.
